I finally got the "official" word from Monte's unit on Saturday night. They pulled into port in Morhead City, NC last night and I will be picking him up here, at Lejeune, sometime between 1 pm and 2:30 pm. We are all very excited and can't wait to see him again. He was home for such a short time after the regular deployment, that it seems like he's been gone forever. With the exception of the few weeks "visit" home in December, they have been gone for 10 months! Just one more float and Monte should be able to move to a non-deployable job for the remainder of his time in the Marine Corps. I sure will be glad when that happens. It's time to close the book on this part of our lives and get started on the next one. You know, that scary world of the CIVILIAN!!!! Ha Ha
I hope all of you have a wonderful week, I know the the Smith family will. God Bless! :)
