Logged into my Facebook account this afternoon and guess who was also on? MONTE! We chatted for awhile and then he started telling me about Yahoo messenger. So he walked me through the process of getting set up and with the use of the webcam's on our laptops, we got to talk to and see each other! Myself, the boys and even Sophie were all so excited! I think we must have talked for an hour or so. Man, it was the next best thing to having him home. He looked really good. They are staying busy and only have a couple more weeks in Kuwait before they have to get on the ship again. He's not looking forward to that, but is excited that we have reached the halfway point in this deployment. For the most part, I've been getting through this one okay. I've had my share of bad days now, but its a lot easier than the Iraq deployment in 2003. I swear, with all the crap I was dealing with at the time as well as the stress of Monte being gone, I seriously would have had a nervous breakdown if one more thing had come up. The only way I got through it all was by the grace of God and my very best friend, Suluoo. What a blessing and a God send she is to me! I love her like she was my own sister. She's my sister from another mister. Ha Ha
Ooohwee! That video chat sure did make my day. I've had a big old grin on my face since I saw Monte's beautiful smile on the screen. You gotta love modern technology.
