Saturday was a busy day for us. We dropped Brady off at his weekend camp and then headed over to Monte's unit Easter egg hunt with Nathan. The hunts always go so fast because the kids are in a frenzy to get as many eggs as they can. We took Sophie with us to the egg hunt and as usual, she was very popular. She wasn't very interested in the people this time however. She kept trying to pick up the plastic eggs and carry them off. After the Easter egg hunt, we dropped Sophie off at home and went over to the 22nd MEU family day. We took Nate's friend Chase with us and we all had a pretty good time. They had a bunch of jumpers for the kids, a clown that made balloon animals, the osprey, 53 and cobra helicopters, a DJ, fire trucks, tug-of-war, volleyball and football, sumo wrestling with those sumo suits and so on. All in all, it was a pretty good afternoon.
We had some errands to run after the family day and then Monte, Nate and I went and bowled a game at Mac Daddy's. Its a big family fun center type of business. They have video games, bowling, go carts, mini golf and a driving range. We wanted to ride the go carts, but they weren't running, so we settled for bowling. Then after that, we stopped at a Mexican restaurant for dinner and finally made it home at around 9 pm. Monte and I were exhausted by the time we got home, but Nate was still going strong...or at least that's what he said. He was actually just afraid to slow down as we would have fallen asleep. He fights sleep so hard sometimes because I think he's afraid he's going to miss something. So, when we got home, we had to play a game of Buzz with him on the Playstation. I think we finally got to bed around 10:30 am or so.

We picked Brady up at noon on Sunday and he had a blast at camp. He's already asked me to get my application in for the next one in October. We still haven't heard back yet about the summer camp I applied for in March. I think we should get word about getting in sometime this month. This is Operation Camp Purple. Its the camp for kids with deployed or soon to be deployed parent(s). I'm worried about leaving the boys for 7 days, but I know they will benefit from it in so many ways. After we picked up Brady, we all went to the pool to swim and got back home at around 2 pm where, we sat down, watched the NASCAR race and just relaxed. It was a great weekend for all of us.
Well, I guess that's about it for now. Have a great week! God Bless! :)
