Dodgers Baseball

Nate and his team played their first game on Saturday. It was a lot of fun to watch and we won the game with a score of 15 to 12. They play coach pitch and switch after three strikes are made or five runs are scored. Nate struck out the first time he was up, but hit the ball on his second trip up to bat. He ended up getting out at first, but earned an RBI because the third baseman was still able to make it home safe (Monte had to explain that to me by the way). I guess I need to study up on the game of baseball. Nate's really having a lot of fun playing and I think this may be his sport. He has a great group of kids on his team and his coaches are excellent! They are great with the boys and are so patient and encouraging.

The weather was so nice on Saturday and has been ever since. It was 85 degrees Saturday, 89 on Sunday and has been maintaining mid 80 temperatures this entire week. Now is the time to be outside enjoying the warm weather because from about June through August, the humidity is horrendous! Well, to me it's horrendous. I always did do better in the cold weather. You can always layer on the clothing, but you can only take so much off.

Anyway, we went to the beach on Saturday after the game. Then on Sunday, we went to pick strawberries with our friend Ann and her girls and went back to the beach after that. Monte and the boys LOVE the beach, so I have a feeling we are going to be there a lot.

Have a great rest of the week. God Bless! :)
