Our Nate is 7 years old today and I can hardly believe it. He's be counting down the days since before Christmas I think. We're celebrating his birthday on Saturday, when Darron, Ann and the girls will be coming over for dinner and birthday cake. I'm making my famous lasagna and a pineapple upside down cake for his birthday cake. For today though, I made him his favorite breakfast (pancakes) and will be making his favorite dinner tonight (chicken). He took goodie bags to school for his classmates, they all made him birthday cards, he got to wear a birthday hat all day and is now playing outside with his friend Chase (the neighbor kid next door). I think he's having a pretty good birthday.

We were in Chapel Hill Monday and Tuesday for Brady's three month diabetes checkup. He's growing again, so we are having to make some changes to his pump numbers, but had a good visit. Since we have to go so far for these appointments, our insurance company allows us to expense our trip, so its a nice little mini vacation for us. Monte upgraded our room this time so we could celebrate a late Valentine's Day. We got a king suite for $79 and we all had a great time. You can see from the pictures that the boys particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. They were bummed that the pool was still closed, so they decided to "swim" in the tub instead.
That's pretty much all that has happened recently with the Smith family. We're so happy to have Monte home and are very excited that we get him home for 3 weeks this time. It's a lot better than the 8 or 10 days it was the last time.
Have a great week everyone and God Bless! :)
