Day 14

We only had to drive about 250 miles today and boy was it nice. We are at a KOA RV campground in Statesville, North Carolina. We pulled in about an hour ago (5 pm EST) and Monte and the boys just left to go swimming at the pool. I am enjoying some quiet, alone time in the camper.

We are planning on visiting some NASCAR racing team headquarters tomorrow. Joe Gibbs Racing, who Tony Stewart (#20) races for, is in Huntersville and then Junior Motorsports, Dale Earnheart Jr's Sprint Cup team, is in Mooresville. Mooresville (Racetown USA) is only about 10 miles or so from Statesville and Huntersville is in between the two. We may just hook up the camper and take it with us when we go to do the touring tomorrow. Then we can just slowly make our way toward Jacksonville. We're keeping an eye on the weather as Florida is gearing up for Hurricane Fay and if we have to, we will stay inland somewhere and wait for the hurricane to pass through NC before we head into Jacksonville.

Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'll update again when I can. You all have a great evening and God Bless!
